Survived By: Her father and stepmother. Her brother, Kurt, died only five months after Kim of the same disease.

We lived in the same neighborhood until I moved in 1976. She was probably my first "best" friend and my memories of times we spent together as children are as vivid as my memories of yesterday. She lost her mother to Huntington's Disease at a very young age but somehow she still had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Life can sometimes be unfair and the times we have with those who are dear to us can be way too short. Never forget to tell those you love how you feel and take every opportunity to pass Kim's smile along to someone else.
